Are you careful about what you eat? Do you make sure that you're drinking milk for the calcium and vitamins A and D? Do you take the time to make sure that you're eating enough fruits and vegetables? Do you eat fish and other lean proteins because you know that they're supposed to be good for you? Do you take a vitamin supplement daily?
We are told that these are things that are supposed to be good for us. We hear that milk is good for us and that it can help us to lose weight - something that cuts the risk of diabetes, heart disease and other illnesses. Fruits and vegetables provide us with fiber, fluids, vitamins and minerals. Fish is high in Omega 3 fatty acids, which are good for heart health and can help our bodies to better absorb vitamins and minerals. Vitamin supplements are designed so that we are able to get those vitamins and minerals into our system - to make up for those that we don't get in the foods that we eat.
While all of these things are true - fruits and vegetables are good for us, as are milk and fish; vitamin supplements can help us to add things that are missing to our diet - so is the fact that, with many of the foods that we eat, we ingest more than just the things that are good for us. We also consume toxins.
We're all aware that alcoholic beverages, cigarettes and processed foods that are full of preservatives and trans fats are unhealthy for us. However, many of us are less aware of the ways in which even healthy foods can get in the way of young living - keeping our energy levels up and our bodies healthy.
Don't believe it? Let's start with milk - as well as products like yogurt and cheese that are made with milk. Many of us have sensitivities to lactose, the sugar found in milk. Lactose isn't the only problem with milk however. Because many farmers give their animals growth hormones, the milk that we drink also contains these substances. Similarly, fruits and vegetables come from farms that often use pesticides, substances that are designed to keep animals and insects away from the crops that don't always wash away with water when we rinse off our foods.
Think that fish is safe? Yes, lean protein is good for us, however it's been found that many fish - including tuna - contain high levels of mercury. Mercury is a toxin that can affect the ways that we think and feel, causing anxiety and depression. Mercury also can cause headaches, dental problems, irregular heartbeats, weakness, fatigue and even excessive sweating. Vitamin supplements may not always be much better: the vitamins and minerals that they contain are not always included in the right balance, and, depending on your diet, you may find that you take in more of a certain vitamin or mineral than is healthy for your body, causing a vitamin toxicity.
This toxicity gets in the way of young living. It leaves us feeling sluggish. It gives us headaches, stomach discomfort, and can even release free radicals in your body. Over time, these free radicals work to break down our cell walls, creating a risk of developing cancers, heart disease, stroke and other health problems. In order to combat these free radicals, our bodies need antioxidants like those found in young living essential oils.
Essential oils are derived from fruits and other sources and contain antioxidants like vitamins C and E. Young living oils also contain minerals and fruit juices - along with essential oils - that make it so that taking the supplement is a good experience. Not only is it easy to include young living essential oil in your daily routine, but it's also something that won't leave a nasty taste in your mouth.
Instead, you'll find that young living oils can be taken in with a great tasting drink. You'll notice that your energy levels improve - without the same crash and burn that comes from energy drinks (which contain not only stimulants like caffeine, but also sugar which has its own toxicity within the body). You'll also know that you feel better: your immune system will function better and you'll catch fewer colds; in general you'll feel less sluggish.
That's not to say that young living oils will take the place of eating a balanced diet. Despite the toxins that can be found in our food, it's still necessary to eat balanced meals. It's just to say that young living essential oils are a great addition to your diet once you are making an effort to take better care of yourself.
Cheryll Rice writes about healthy living. Health practitioners have realized over the years that not everything we put into our bodies comes out of our bodies, and as a result, our health is at risk of the toxins that are left behind. Choose A Wedding Florist Who Can Bring Your Personality To The Wedding
Article Presented by:
Wesley Berry, AAF
When Sandra Bullock married Jesse James (of Monster Garage fame), guests like William Shatner, Regina King, Jason Biggs and Jamie Lee Curtis saw her carry a wedding bouquet of red roses that had been bound together by a leather strap.
The bouquet that Sandra Bullock carried for her wedding reflected love and toughness at the same time a reflection that mirrored the relationship that she and Jesse James share.
When you get married, it is important to choose a wedding florist who can bring your personalities to your wedding. Therefore, it is important to interview a number of florists to find the one who is right for you.
After all, for most weddings, you won't just be ordering a bridal bouquet. In addition, you will also want to consider or order:
a bouquet for the bouquet toss if you do not think that you will want to part with the bouquet that you carried down the aisle; a bouquet for the maid of honor; bouquets for the bridesmaids; a boutonnière for the groom; boutonnières for the best man and other groomsmen; a corsage for the mother of the bride; a corsage for the mother of the groom; boutonnières for the fathers of the bride and groom; flowers to decorate the altar and line the aisle; and, flowers for decorating the reception hall
Not every bride and groom will choose to order all of flowers in that list. For some, a simple bouquet for the bride is all that they will order. Choosing where you will use flowers in your wedding ceremony, therefore, is important even before you hire a florist to provide your wedding flowers.
Once you have chosen where you will use flowers, you can begin interviewing to find a wedding florist. You'll want to find someone who will not pressure you into buying wedding flowers that you do not want to have. Similarly, you will want to find a wedding florist who can work with you to choose the right flowers for your wedding flowers that reflect your personality.
For example, if you do not like roses, you should avoid working with wedding florist who insists that a wedding just isn't a wedding without roses. If you want to have your bridal bouquet and other flowers for your wedding capture your love of natural beauty with wildflowers, it is important to hire a wedding florist who will respect that wish and work with you to ensure that the flowers at your wedding reflect you.
When it comes to choosing a wedding florist who will work with you, however, there are more points to consider than just whether or not he or she can provide the flowers that fit your personality. In addition, you want to be sure that a wedding florist is selling you the flowers that you want at a reasonable price that you can afford.
Be sure to ask the wedding florists that you interview about pricing concerns both for the flowers themselves and for delivery. Also ask about their experience, work that they have done in the past and even whether or not they've provided arrangements for other weddings at the same location as yours.
By taking the time to ask questions, you can be sure to find the right wedding florist for you one who will give you the best price and the service that you are looking for; one who will listen to you and work with you to bring your personality into your wedding ceremony.
Not everyone wants to carry red roses gathered with a leather strap the way Sandra Bullock did but keep in mind, it worked for her, in part because she chose to work with a wedding florist who kept her desires in mind during the process of selecting a wedding flowers.

Pepper Spray: How Does it Feel to Get Blasted?
Article Presented by:
Fred Cheney
It's something to think about. What would happen if you tried to use pepper spray and it sprayed into your own eyes? And, could you accidentally blind someone with it? Permanently maim them? What are the effects of pepper spray? These are important questions and they certainly have answers.
What Is Pepper Spray?
Pepper spray is the naturally occurring chemical, oleoresin capsicum (OC). It can temporarily disable attackers, whether the attacker is an individual, a group, or some sort of dangerous animal. According to The FBI Bulletin, pepper spray is an inflammatory agent and "is a natural derivative of the cayenne, or hot pepper." The publication further explains that "pepper sprays rely on propellants to dispense their contents. Most sprays contain carbon dioxide, nitrogen, or isobutane propellants. In addition, the OC can be suspended in a water or alcohol solution."[1]
Since pepper spray can be purchased in small, easy to carry and conceal containers, an initial spray of the solution can take an attacker by surprise, placing would be victims firmly in charge of the situation. The use of pepper spray does not require any special training or physical strength.
What Does It Feel Like To Get Blasted With Pepper Spray?
The benefits of understanding what happens when you are hit with pepper spray are immeasurable. Knowing the effects of pepper spray ahead of time can prevent your mind from going into panic mode should you somehow accidentally spray yourself. And in the event that you need to use it against a criminal, you'll know to get away fast as he falls to his knees -- you can rest assured that you haven't blinded him, you have simply paralyzed him. Use this opportunity to seek safety and to call the police.
So what does it feel like? As soon as the pepper spray hits you, your eyes will involuntarily close, tear up, and begin burning. But don't panic: studies have shown that while debilitating, the effects of pepper spray on your eyes is harmless and produces no long-term effects. As your eyes close, you will begin coughing. The cough will be excruciating, but temporary. You might suffer from restricted breathing, inflamed skin, and become awkwardly uncoordinated. All of these effects will last anywhere from twenty minutes to an hour but will not be fatal.
Overcoming Pepper Spray
If, in the act of defending yourself, you get pepper spray on you, blink rapidly to prevent eye penetration. Do this as you head to safety and towards anywhere that clean air is flowing or blowing. Remove all impacted clothing as soon as possible and wash areas where the pepper spray touched you with cool soapy water. If the spray still won't come off, try an old fashioned treatment of milk and honey.

Is Investing In A Trading System A Rip Off Compared To Going To University?
Article Presented by:
Dean Whittingham
I was attending an introductory 3 hour seminar held by an Options trader back in 2005 with a friend who had never traded or invested in anything his whole life (with the exception of his superannuation fund which he did not manage). I was there for my friend who wanted to know a bit about trading and investing.
The seminar went well and you could tell this by the large number of people interacting; but also because my friend, a very risk averse person was also becoming keen to know more. But when the inevitable sales pitch came he sunk to the bottom of his chair.
"What's wrong?" I asked him with which he replied, "You've got to be joking he's asking fifteen hundred for this course? I don't think so; do you want to go halves, maybe I'll consider it?"
I smiled and thought for a bit; I already knew what I wanted to ask him, the problem was I wondered whether I should or not. Finally I succumbed.
"Can I ask you what your debt is for your university course (he was studying Information Technology)?" "Sure it's about $5000, but will be more like $7000 by the time I've finished". "Ok" I said, "does this come with a guarantee of a job, or even a money back guarantee should you decide after a while you don't want to do IT?"
"What?" and he gave me this most puzzling look.
"Well think about it. Becoming an IT professional is a great career if that's what you want to do, but in reality your income will always be capped, and the only way to uncap it is to become a business owner which is a whole new career in itself. Secondly, there's no guarantee you'll even get a job once you've completed it. I'm not saying that $7000 is too much but it's a fair whack."
"Compare this to a course where the owner is a millionaire and practices his craft at the same time. I'm not saying you're going to become a millionaire using his course or that you'll even like it but he's asking less, for information that helped him become financially free. As far as I'm concerned there is no comparison."
My friend thought for a while and realized he had no answer to what I had said however I refused his proposal to go halves. I had no intention of buying the course; I was only there for my friend. As it turns out he never did end up buying it.
As a trader though I'm not going to defend those who sell trading courses anymore like I did back then as my outlook has changed; but that does not mean I advocate the university education system and the debt scheme attached to it either. Nothing has changed there for me.
What has changed though is my realization that what's important in trading and investing tuition is sorely lacking. A system with rules and indicators is simply not enough. For one, it is usually built by one or two people who share a common goal. All those who try to emulate their system have completely different goals, resources, emotions, strengths and weaknesses and the list goes on.
This is why if you've ever bought into someone else's trading course that comes with some sort of support or forum you'll notice the majority can never get to their desired level. They either completely fail or fluctuate up and down along with their emotions. Those that do make it work have managed to do so because they had a very similar set of circumstances, resources, strengths and maybe even goals. This is why so few can make someone else's method work.
I even witnessed a famous trader who sells his trading workshop for many thousands of dollars admit that only around 3 or 4 of his 15 that he lets in gets it (meaning the rest waste their time and money and are unable to make it work)! That is ludicrous in my view to know this fact, and still take their money. The thing is this teacher is obviously unaware and unable to teach his students the ingredients that made him a success. He just teaches them his system.
I even drilled a trader hosting a Webinar for his latest tuition. I kept asking him if he had several methods of trading and flexibility that enabled someone to adopt a method to suit their resources, personality and strengths; and also if he helped the trader to uncover their strengths. He could not answer me.
What I am saying is that the road to success in trading requires you to look at who you are, what you have, and then how you can use what you have to achieve your goals. If you're in the market for a trading system make sure you find out whether the system will suit you otherwise you'll just become another statistic.

Angelina Jolie's Birth Flower, The Rose, Gets A Week Of Its Own
Article Presented by:
Wesley Berry, AAF
Born June 4, 1975, actress Angelina Jolie was born in the month of the rose. One of America's most beloved flowers, the rose is cherished for its beauty and scent. They've long been a symbol of romance and florists sell countless dozens of roses to people wishing to woo, congratulate, send get well wishes, or just to say, "I was thinking of you." The rose is so popular that it even has its own week in the flower industry in some states-Caring Rose Week.
Caring Rose Week has taken place for seven years in the month of November. It's a week of inexpensive roses for those who are willing to donate money or food to The Golden Harvest Food Bank or other select charitable organizations across the country. The weeklong event was conceived by Harry Whelden of North American Wholesale Florist in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Whelden began the event as a means of boosting sales at a time when flower sales were slumping. But, the event itself doesn't actually make much money-most florists just break even. However, the event does bring people into the stores just as holiday seasons begin, and many of them come back to purchase flowers at a later date.
During Caring Rose Week, florists pay a $25 flat fee to flower wholesalers to pay the printing costs for flyers and posters advertising the event. Customers who come into the participating flower shops can purchase a dozen roses-2 stems each of 6 different varieties-for the incredibly low price of just $10. The catch? To be eligible for the discounted price, customers must donate $2 or 2 cans of food to the store's charity organization. Florists in the Georgia State Floral Distributors program donate to The Golden Harvest Food Bank in Augusta, Georgia; those in the North American Wholesale program may choose where donations go.
Caring Rose Week currently takes place in North Dakota, South Dakota, Minnesota, Iowa, Wyoming, Georgia, and South Carolina. It takes place at the same time as National Hunger and Homelessness Awareness week. In 2006, more than 350 florists took part in the event.
While Angelina Jolie may not live in one of the states where the event takes place, florists who participate are hopeful that the goodwill of the event will catch on and spread to all other states in the country.

A Gift Of Flowers Is Better Than An X-Box
Article Presented by:
Wesley Berry, AAF
One of today's hottest items, and among the most requested gifts, is the X-Box game system. Although video games are a lot of fun, the money it costs to buy an X-Box would be better spent on flowers. In fact, according to a study titled the Home Ecology of Flowers Study conducted for the Society of American Florists (SAF) Flower Promotion Organization (FPO), flowers have an amazing affect on those who include them in their lives.
The study was conducted by Nancy Etcoff, Ph.D., who is a faculty member at Harvard Medical School and a practicing psychologist at Massachusetts General Hospital. One of the findings of the study was that they fuel compassionate feelings in people. Participants in the study began to experience more feelings of compassion towards other people after living with flowers for less than one week.
The study also showed that flowers help people to feel less anxious, worried, and depressed when they were at home. When participants were at home with flowers they quickly began to feel less negative. Because they wanted to see the flowers as much as possible and as soon as they woke up each day, the participants placed their flowers in areas where they would be spending a great deal of time, such as the kitchen, dining room, and living room.
Another finding of the study was that they improve the energy and enthusiasm of people who live with them even when the flowers aren't present. Participants felt better and happier in their workplaces just because they had flowers at home.
To help spread the great news of the positive impact of flowers, Dr. Etcoff will serve as the spokesperson for the SAF/FPO alliance for a major public relations campaign set to begin soon. The campaign will make the findings of the Home Ecology of Flowers Study public and keep generating information about flowers. Included in the campaign will be a press kit for print media, a satellite television tour, and other materials.
Incredible news like this is definitely cause for celebration. May I suggest a party complete with gifts? But, forget the X-Box, give flowers, instead.
