A ball joint is an important component of your car's suspension, located on the front end of the vehicle. Ball joints will wear out over time and cause handling problems as they continue to deteriorate. It is important that you have these joints inspected, particularly if you are experiencing handling problems with your vehicle.
If you think that your ball joint may need to be replaced, there are some symptoms that you can check for. You may hear a knocking noise in the front end of your car when you drive over small bumps in the road. Or, your car's alignment might be askew - if your vehicle naturally pulls hard to one side, it is most likely out of alignment. Uneven tire wear, a result of bad alignment, may also indicate that your ball joints are going bad. If you ignore bad alignment in your vehicle and continue to drive it, more problems can arise: damage can be done to a number of internal parts, including the tie rod.
It is best to have a qualified mechanic to determine if your car is properly aligned, and to see if your ball joints need replacing. There are many automobile repair shops that specialize in front-end repair, and these are often the best places to go for such diagnostics.
Depending on the year, make, and model of your vehicle, you may be able to extend the life of your ball joints by having them properly lubricated. Unfortunately, however, this is not an option with many newer cars - the entire ball joint must be replaced. The good news is that ball joints in newer cars, tend to last longer than those that were made for older models.
It is important to choose a reputable manufacturer when you buy a new ball joint. If you own a BMW, for example, parts from the manufacturer may cost more than you are willing to spend. As an alternative, you may want to consider an aftermarket manufacturer with a solid reputation. Buying through an aftermarket company can save you quite a bit of money when purchasing replacement parts.
Ignoring a bad ball joint can result in a truly dangerous situation, since it affects how well your car handles. Waiting until a ball joint fails may cause you to wreck your vehicle. Many drivers opt to have a professional mechanic install new ball joints. Following the replacement of the joint, your car will need to be realigned; many people find that it is easiest to have a mechanic do both. An alignment requires very specialized tools that the average do-it-yourself mechanic does not own. An alignment also requires a good deal of knowledge and training in order to be performed correctly.
As mentioned before, your car's tie rod must often be replaced along with the ball joint. Since these parts work in conjunction, some mechanics recommend that you replace both at once.
No matter what kind of ball joint your car utilizes, whether a new or old model, it is important that you have these joints inspected each time your car is brought in for maintenance. Keeping these joints lubricated and well-maintained are essential in maintaining a safe degree of alignment in your vehicle.

Flower Growers In Shakira's Home Country Affected By U.S. Immigration Reform
Article Presented by:
Wesley Berry, AAF
Pop singer Shakira was born in Colombia, which is the number one importer of fresh flowers to the United States. While foreign countries sometimes seem to have so little to do with our lives here in America, our country's decisions regarding immigration and guest-worker programs very greatly affects the livelihood of the hundreds of Colombians working in the floriculture industry. But, if the Agriculture Coalition for Immigration Reform (ACIR) has anything to say about it, Congress will see the very great need we have for a good solution to the immigration question.
ACIR is comprised of organizations like the Society of American Florists (SAF), the United Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Association, and the National Council for Agriculture. The members of ACIR plan to rally in Washington, D.C. to urge Congress to come to a viable decision.
"We need to stress to Congress that agriculture needs a viable guest-worker program and earned legalization for our trained and trusted workforce in addition to border security," says Jeanne Little, SAF's senior director of government relations. "And with Congress preparing for elections this year, we only have a small window of time to do that."
In addition to the efforts being made by ACIR, many individuals within the floriculture industry are stepping up to make their case known. Among those taking a stand are:
Michelle Castellano: Castellano, of Mellano and Company in San Luis Ray, California, attended a roundtable discussion with the Secretary of Commerce as a representative of SAF. She explained to Castellano that floriculture has done everything it can to automate the system, but in the end, human hands are required to harvest flowers, fruits, and vegetables.
Don Darby: Darby, of Darby Greenhouses and Farms in Jacksonville, Texas, signed on to an op-ed in the Dallas Morning News that said, "As chairmen, CEOs and stockholders, we call on Congress to act-to go back to Washington and pass realistic immigration reform that provides the workers we need to keep our business growing." The letter, signed by businesses in many industries, ran as the lead editorial.
Dianna Doss: Doss, executive director of the Texas State Florists Association, joined many others in a conference call to discuss forming a coalition called Texas Employers for Immigration Reform. The coalition will seek to improve national security through the screening of foreign workers while allowing undocumented workers to earn legal status.
Shakira's fellow Colombians, many of whom are hardworking people in the floriculture industry, will undoubtedly be heavily impacted by the outcome of the ongoing discussions surrounding immigration reform-and so will Americans who also earn their living through flowers.

You Don't Need Wikipedia To Understand Some Basic Flower Terms
Article Presented by:
Wesley Berry, AAF
Dish gardens...corsages...tussie mussies...the language of the floral industry can be really confusing for those who aren't familiar with it. Sometimes it can make you feel like you need to log in to Wikipedia and look it all up before you can place an order. Don't start clicking yet, though-it's not as difficult as it might initially seem, and you've got a professional who speaks the language on your side.
A good, professional florist is one who cares enough about his or her customers to take the time to explain the many options available for floral gifts and decorative accents.
To help you gain a basic understanding, some of the terms used by florists are explained below:
Bud Vases: These are small floral gifts that include one or more stems of flowers in a vase. Bud vases are often given as a small token of friendship or to commemorate a special occasion. They're a popular gift, as they tend to be fairly inexpensive, but are elegant and beautiful.
Basket Arrangement: Basket arrangements are exactly what they sound like a floral design created in a basket. These are usually bright, cheery gifts and look fantastic in a home with a casual design. They're perfect for any occasion or no occasion at all.
Formal Arrangement: These are very elegant arrangements that can be created in a multitude of containers and in varying heights. They are often used as a focal point in a formal room or to add some flair to the foyer of a home.
Dish Gardens: As the word "garden" implies, these are live, growing plants in a container, or dish of some sort. They're often green plants, cacti, or flowering plants. Dish gardens are a great gift that, with proper care, can be enjoyed for years.
Sympathy Flowers: Sympathy flowers are those flowers sent to comfort loved ones when someone has passed away. There are a number of different kinds of arrangements within this category, such as easel sprays, wreaths, and casket sprays. Your florist will have photographs of various sympathy flower arrangements and can assist you in choosing the right gift.
Corsages: Corsages are small arrangements that are worn by women. They can either be pinned to her clothing, or designed on an elastic band to be worn on her wrist.
Boutonnieres: Boutonnieres are small arrangements that are worn by men. They're pinned to the lapel and often consist of a single bloom with a bit of greenery or other accent.
Tussie-Mussie: The tussie-mussie was first used as a Victorian bridal bouquet, but today is used for any occasion. It's created by closely bunching flowers and binding the stems with a ribbon or other means. The result is a small, round, charming bouquet.
Topiaries: Topiaries are plants that have been trimmed in an unusual or artistic way. You might be familiar with them as small trees grown in pots that have been trimmed for a tall look with rounded foliage at the top.
Regardless of the occasion, your florist will have many options available to you. If you're not certain what to order, don't turn to Wikipedia, turn to your florist! He or she will have photos and samples to help you send the perfect gift.

Heather Mills And Flower Enthusiasts Promote Making The World A Better Place
Article Presented by:
Wesley Berry, AAF
Okay, Heather Mills and the flower enthusiasts aren't working together toward a better world, but they do have the goal in common. Heather Mills may be well known for her marriage to Beatle Paul McCartney, but she's also spent years advocating the elimination of land mines in an effort to make the world a safer, more peaceful place. Flower enthusiasts, too, are working toward making the world a more peaceful place, but they're doing it in a much different way. Their efforts are in the form of recycling flowers that would otherwise find their way into landfills.
Whenever there's a major event, there's sure to be flowers involved. They're used to adorn tables and decorate rooms. And, in the case of funerals, families often receive so many flowers that they can't possibly bring them all home. The events are short lived, but the flowers aren't. But, what happens to those "unwanted" flowers that still have a lot of beauty left in them? Unfortunately, many of them are simply thrown away. That's why some volunteer organizations have begun to donate their time to ensure the flowers can be enjoyed by as many people as possible.
In Raleigh, North Carolina, for example, local artist Kathy Reece started the Flower Shuttle, which picks up flowers and recycles them to homeless shelters, nursing homes, and soup kitchens. Reece began the effort after reading Oprah magazine and learning about one like it in New York.
Just a short time ago a weekend black-tie event in Raleigh was cause for 380 rose and orchid centerpieces to be created. Without the Flower Shuttle, those centerpieces would have wound up in the trash. But, thanks to Reece, many volunteers began arriving just as the event was ending and began loading the flowers into vehicles. The flowers were taken to Cleveland Plant & Flower where the company allowed the Flower Shuttle to use their warehouses as a place for volunteers to rearrange the flowers and organize deliveries to places in need the next day.
Danny Hinton, manager of Cleveland Plant & Flower, said, "There were probably 2,500 roses. We got over here at quarter to one and put it all in coolers so they wouldn't blow open."
The rearranged flowers were donated to Duke Children's Hospital & Health Center, Durham VA Medical Center, and Meals on Wheels.
What a wonderful way to spread the happiness that flowers bring. Through the efforts of dedicated volunteers, the thousands of flowers used each year for special events are finding their way to places where the people who will see them could really use some extra smiles. No, it's not a charity that will garner as much press and to do as the land mine efforts of Heather Mills, but recycling flowers to make the lives of those in need just a bit brighter is surely just as noble an effort.

The Sims Don't Face Energy Cost Issues
Article Presented by:
Wesley Berry, AAF
Wouldn't it be nice if we lived in an entirely electronic world like the characters in the popular game The Sims do? That way we would never be faced with difficult financial challenges like the enormous rise in energy costs that we're all battling these days. Although most businesses face some additional challenges due to the rising cost of fuel, the floral industry is particularly hard hit because of the enormous impact prices have on greenhouses.
Greenhouses all over the country are watching their monthly energy bills take enormous leaps. Don Howell of Pajaro Valley Greenhouses in Watsonville, California said, "Natural gas prices have risen dramatically, with a very large spike after Hurricane Katrina. Last winter was tough for us, with gas prices in many cases twice [as high] as the year before."
Pajaro isn't the only one to experience such large increases. Mark Leider of Leider Horticultural Companies in Buffalo Grove, Illinois reports that the cost to heat his 600,000 square feet of greenhouses using natural gas has risen a whopping 350 percent over the last six years. He said, "Last January it cost $3,000 a day to heat the greenhouses. We just raised our prices and did not talk about it much-our best customers understood. They accepted the prices because they realized how much their home heating bills have increased."
Because of such enormous increases, greenhouses all over the world are looking for alternative, less expensive methods for heating. Dutch greenhouses are even looking into developing greenhouses that will produce energy that can be sold to the general public. Other growers are looking to alternatives like biomass boilers, which grow coal, beans, and waste products from other countries. Carroll Farms in Ontario has made the change from natural gas to a biomass boiler of which Russ Carroll says, "The cost of our heat has been reduced by two thirds with very little work. The cost of the boilers and plumbing has a return on investment of one to two years. There is a readily available source of fuel as more and more companies hear of a way of burning their waste products."
As great as alternative fuel sources are, the sad truth is that many businesses simply don't have the capital required to purchase the equipment necessary to make the transition. As a result, greenhouses are forced to make up the costs in other areas-and that means increased prices for flower buyers. That's just one more reason it would be nice to be an electronic character like one of The Sims-but then again, they can hardly stop and smell the beautiful fragrance of the roses with their electronic noses, can they? I guess I'll take those rising fuel costs after all.

Carmen Electra Likes It...Will You?
Article Presented by:
Wesley Berry, AAF
More and more people are becoming shopping savvy in an attempt to conserve precious financial resources. We want more for our money and we don't want to waste money buying items that just aren't as good as they look. That's why more people are turning to consumer product ratings to make determinations about whether or not they'll buy an item. But, just because the guy down the street or even a big star like Carmen Electra likes a product, does that mean you will?
Here's how consumer product ratings work: Let's say Carmen Electra stops into my flower shop in Michigan and purchases an enormous floral arrangement. When she gets home she visits my web site, www.800wesleys.com, to enter a review of the flowers she bought. Of course she finds them to be absolutely wonderful-fresh, fragrant, and artfully arranged. And, the service was fast and friendly. She gives the product a great rating. A few days later Brad Pitt logs on to the Internet to order flowers for Angelina Jolie. He visits my site and sees Electra's anonymous but excellent rating and decides to order his flowers from me based on the satisfaction of a past customer.
Although to some that might seem like an odd way to decide where to spend your money and what to spend it on, according to a survey conducted earlier this year by Forrester Research, more than 70% of adults consult consumer product ratings and reviews when making a purchase. In fact, the use of consumer reviews has become so popular that there are web sites dedicated to reviews, such as epinion.com, bazaarvoice.com, and yelp.com. Even major online retailers like amazon.com offer reviews to help customers make purchase decisions.
Some companies are relying so heavily upon consumer reviews that they use them to drive the direction of their marketing efforts. Petco, purveyor of pet-related products, did just that. Using Bazaarvoice's consumer rating services, over 30 days Petco collected reviews of approximately 1,000 products. Bazaarvoice solicited the reviews for Petco, analyzed them, and provided data to help Petco alter their marketing efforts. Using the data, Petco sent customers emails detailing the products with the highest rankings.
"It's pretty clear that people are trusting the words of other consumers more than [TV commercials]...on the airwaves," said Peter Kim of Forrester Research.
That said, I guess it's up to the consumer whether or not they trust the opinions of their fellow shoppers. But, when you're shopping, keep in mind that Carmen Electra's tastes may not match your own, so you're wise to use your own junction in conjunction with available reviews.

Don't Let Your Car's Alternator Leave You Stranded
Article Presented by:
Quinton Becker
An alternator is one of the most commonly dysfunctional auto parts. Without a properly functioning alternator, your car will simply refuse to run. A faulty alternator can leave you stranded, but luckily, a low-performing alternator often shows warning signs that indicate its malfunction before it ceases to work. Being able to recognize these warning signs, and knowing what to do next, may prevent you from getting caught in an inconvenient or dangerous situation.
One sign that your alternator is going bad is that the battery of your car will frequently go dead. Though there can be other causes for a dead battery, an underperforming alternator is often the case-this lack of a power source will prevent your battery from recharging. Another warning sign may be a metallic clanging that changes with your engine speed. Often, this indicates that the shaft bearing on the alternator is about to break. This is a relatively common problem with alternators that have been in use for a long time.
The best way to prevent being stranded by a bad alternator is by having it tested on a regular basis. It is recommended that you do so every time a tune-up is performed on your car-about once every year. If you drive your car more than the average person, you may want to have a tune-up or maintenance service completed more frequently. A technician can easily test the output of your alternator. If you suspect that yours is going bad or not charging your car properly, you can have it tested free of charge at many automotive parts stores. In most instances, mechanics can even test the alternator while it is still installed in your vehicle.
With the advancement of technology, a car's alternator is more important than ever. Taking a look at the newest cars on the market, many feature a wide variety of electronics; all of these require battery power to operate. The computer in a newer car needs power operate spark plugs, fuel pumps, and the engine, among other things. To illustrate how much pressure an alternator must handle, let's take a look at all of the mechanisms it must provide power to: digital gauges, headlights, stereo systems, in-car DVD players and televisions, just to name a few. All of these rely on the vehicle's alternator for power.
Older cars, such as a classic Austin Healey, do not place as much stress on their alternators. An older Austin Healey relied more on mechanical systems than electrical systems to operate, and therefore did not require as much electrical power to run.
If you like to do your own auto repair, and you have some experience with working on cars, then replacing your car's alternator may be a feasible process. The hardest step in completing this task is being able to access the mounting bolts. The difficulty of this varies with the year, make, and model of the vehicle that you are working on. Older cars often have the alternator in the front of the engine, toward the top, making for a very easy replacement. Newer vehicles, especially those with front-wheel drive, may not have such an accessible alternator. Front-wheel drive cars usually have the engine installed sideways, meaning there is little room to access the mounting bolts.
Whether or not you should pay a professional to replace your alternator is purely a matter of confidence in your own mechanical abilities. Don't forget that you will have to remove the serpentine belt in newer models. This may be a good opportunity to replace your serpentine (alternator) belt.
If you are experiencing electrical problems with your car, or if you frequently find yourself with a dead battery, then it is time to have your alternator tested. A faulty alternator may be the source of your problems.

Developing a 401k Strategy In The Modern Employment Market
Article Presented by:
Jason Alba
What is the biggest pain that comes with every job search? I'm not talking about the job search itself, I'm talking about some of the typical "housekeeping" that you have to do. Is it file for unemployment? Is it refigure your budget? Is it developing a new schedule? For me, one of the biggest hassles is figuring out what to do with my 401k account.
What I have done in the past is just roll my 401k money from one job to the next. But that just doesn't make sense to me anymore. This last "job transition" was not voluntary, and I didn't feel comfortable leaving ten years of amassed 401k savings at an employer that I didn't respect. The longer my job search went on the more uncomfortable I felt knowing that my money was not getting the priority that I wanted.
Then it dawned on me. You see, I've become very attuned to "the new career." The idea that you'll change jobs every 2.8 years is different than what I'm used to, and what my parent's generation is used to. No matter how much I'd like to have one employer with a big fat pension waiting for me at retirement age, it ain't going to happen. My techniques for getting and keeping jobs are different than my father's techniques. And my techniques for managing my retirement money should be different also.
I decided to set up a personal master retirement account. This is an account that I have set up with an investment company that mimics what an employer would have set up for me. There is absolutely no value in rolling over a single 401k account from employer to employer every 2.8 years. The only thing I can gain from having an employer-based 401k account is their matching program (which seems to have been getting weaker over the years - but all the same, it is free money). This benefit is worth the effort to start a new 401k with each employer but there is no benefit for you to keep rolling everything over to each employer.
I interviewed Brandon Small, owner of of InvestedInterests.com, to see what he thought of this idea (you see, I don't have a CPA and didn't even do that well in my accounting classes in college. And no, of course I don't balance my checkbook!) and here is what he had to say:
"By holding your account outside the employer, you:
1. Can substantially lower your fees.
2. Have more investment options.
3. Have more flexibility on taking money out for emergencies, etc.
The fee issue is becoming very important. As the market matures, it has become common for investment companies to reconfigure these 401k accounts to take more from the employees, rather than charge reasonable rates to the employers. The fees to the employees are hidden and never reported in $ amounts. It has gotten to the point that the old adage of "always max out your 401k" is becoming "put as little in as required to get your matching $."
I didn't know any of this, did you? The last thing I want to do with my retirement money is pay unnecessary fees. That could be cutting into my gas budget on my RV trips!
Another concern that I've had is ensuring that I get the quality advice that I want. Because I was not one of the top paid employees at my previous company I felt that I did not get the attention that I needed on my account. Having a master retirement account with one investor will allow you to develop a long-term relationship with your investment advisor. As the investment advisor gets to know you and your interests better, and value the long-term relationship, he or she should be more inclined to treat you the way you should be treated, as opposed to treating you as a short-term addition to their portfolio.
So I set up a personal 401k account with an investment advisor, which is my master account. Of course this advisor uses an industry leader to handle the financial transactions, and he never really sees the money (this is how it worked with my last 401k, which used Lincoln Financial to handle all the money transactions and reporting). And I rolled over my 401k account that I had developing.
In my next job I will set up a 401k savings account through my employer, with the anticipation that I will get vested matching contributions. When I leave employment I immediately begin paperwork to roll that account over to my Master Retirement Account. This completely severs the relationship with that employer and I have complete access to and control over my money.
As I mentioned before, long gone are the days when things were easy and you could trust your company to watch out for your best interest. It is time to take your financial future into your own hands and control the direction you are headed, instead of relying on your current employer to dictate your future. Find a great investment advisor (Like Brandon at InvestedInterests.com) and talk about setting up a Master Retirement Fund. It will be one career move that you won't regret.

Do-It-Yourself Automotive Axle Assembly Repair Tips and Tricks
Article Presented by:
Quinton Becker
Replacing an axle assembly is not as difficult as you may think. For front-wheel drive cars, and for some rear-wheel drive cars, this can be a do-it-yourself job. You will want to review the repair manual of your vehicle to decide, based on your own mechanical skill, whether you feel comfortable tackling this project yourself.
A common repair that often must be done after general wear on a vehicle is the replacement of a CV joint. In many cases, it makes good financial sense to replace the entire axle assembly instead of repairing the joint alone. Since replacing a CV joint can be a labor-intensive job, it may also be easier to replace the entire axle assembly. Doing so will save time and thus cut labor costs-you can often replace the entire assembly for the same cost as replacing only the joints. This will, however, depend on how much your mechanic charges you-unless you decide to attempt the installation on your own.
New axle assemblies generally come with fresh CV joints and boots already installed, so you do not have to buy both the assembly and the joints. Since the entire assembly works through the boots, it is important that all parts are well-maintained and work in harmony with one another.
Again, read the installation instructions for your vehicle's make and model. If you are fairly comfortable working on your own car, then this may be a project that you want to tackle yourself. Doing so would save you the money you would otherwise pay a mechanic.
An axle assembly is used mainly in front-wheel and four-wheel drive cars to transfer power from the transmission to the wheels. Most rear-wheel drive cars do not use an axle assembly, though there are a few exceptions, primarily high-end German sports cars. One reason that CV boots and axle assemblies fail, is due to the access of debris and contaminants. Debris can get inside of the boot if the boot comes loose or becomes cracked. When this happens, CV joints will quickly degenerate and fail.
If you own a four-wheel drive vehicle and take it off-road on a regular basis, you are more likely to experience problems with debris getting inside of the seals. This is even more common if you like to go "mudding" and do not wash all of the mud out from the undercarriage of your vehicle.
Choosing a manufacturer for your new axle assembly is important. For many vehicles, you can go with OEM or aftermarket parts. If you own a specialized vehicle like a Bertone, you will want to go with Bertone parts, because keeping original Bertone parts would help to maintain such a vehicle's value.
If maintaining all original-brand parts is not important to you, then you have many choices when it comes to replacement manufacturers. Many of these aftermarket replacement parts can be found at a lower price-sometimes of a higher quality, as well. When buying auto parts, it pays to shop around and find the best quality and price.
Most of the time, a new axle assembly will come with a solid warranty, so that you do not have to be concerned about part failure in the immediate future. It is important as both a buyer and a mechanic to be selective and to get the right part the first time. Doing so will prevent having to remove newly-installed equipment, because it is not the right one for your vehicle.
Research and investigation can help you determine the best replacement parts for your vehicles. And using the internet to make your purchases will allow you to save a lot of money, while improving the quality of products you are able to buy within your budget.

Car Antenna Replacements Are Quick & Easy When You Know What To Do
Article Presented by:
Quinton Becker
The car radio antenna has undergone many changes over the years. For a time, they appeared to be an afterthought in the construction of most automobiles. Antennas were not integrated into the design of the car as they are today, and they provided poor reception to boot. Much has changed in terms of effectiveness and design since the standard vehicle antenna's invention. As the radio has become an essential part of the driving experience, the antenna has advanced to allow for greater durability and sound quality.
In the 1960's, many cars simply had an antenna attached to the front fender. As the years passed, some manufacturers placed them on the windshield. If the windshield had to be replaced, however, owners often lost the only antenna available for their car. Today, replacement antennas are mass-produced and easily attainable-whether your car implements an automatic or manually retractable model.
Antennas are not the most durable parts of a vehicle, and are prone to requiring replacement or repair. There are many ways in which a car's radio antenna may be damaged. Unfortunately, one of the most common causes for antenna damage is vandalism-the antenna is simply snapped from the car's body. Another common cause may be if the driver forgets to retract their car's antenna when entering a car wash. On some vehicles, the antenna may be retracted at the push of a button. On less expensive models, however, this task must be performed manually. Either way, it is easy to forget to do so when entering a car wash; once you enter, the antenna can easily be damaged or broken off.
Replacing a broken antenna is a relatively easy process, depending on the year, make, and model of your vehicle. An antenna that is retracted by motor will be a bit more difficult to replace than one that is manually retractable.
To replace a broken motorized antenna, simply remove the outer top nut of the antenna mast. This will allow you to remove the old mast. Next, you must remove the inner top nut and turn the radio on. You may discard the inner nut and the nylon wire that is attached. To install the new antenna, simply push the new nylon wire down through the assembly hole until it stops. Turn your car's radio off. You will then hear the motor and should see the cable recoil as the motor pulls the cable inward, as if to retract the antenna itself. Once the motor has stopped, you may attach the metal mast into the motor assembly. Then, reinstall the gland nut atop the antenna.
Whether you own a Kia or a Bentley, having a functioning antenna is essential if you want to tune in to local radio stations. Replacement Bentley parts, of course, can be quite expensive. When you replace a Bentley's broken antenna you may choose between manufacturer parts or aftermarket replacements. You can save a good deal of money, regardless of your car's manufacturer, by opting for aftermarket parts. This is true when you are replacing something like a broken radio antenna, and it applies for larger replacement parts as well.
If you find yourself needing to replace your car's antenna, you will probably want to do so quickly-for many people, being able to listen to music and news is a big part of the overall driving experience. Be sure to check your owner's manual before starting the repair process, and check for any specific instructions on how to replace your car's antenna before getting started.

How Generation *R* Got It Right!
Article Presented by:
Kent Jacobson a.k.a. Mr. Success
Who is generation R? I'll tell you, they are our retired mothers and fathers, and even our grandparents who were born in the 20's and 30's. Why am I writing about this generation of people? Because I think there are five (5) basic principles that were utilized by this generation to set themselves up for a very comfortable retirement and lifestyle in their senior years. One overriding trait through out this population of people is their common inherent work ethic. You have to work hard to get ahead, this seems a little lost in today's younger (people in their 20's) work force. The plan seems simple; have a goal, plan what you want to do, save for it and retire. Simple enough for them let me tell you how you can be better prepared for your retirement by understanding and implementing the 6 basic principles of their success.
Principle 1. You need to have a clear definition and separation of wants and needs. What I mean by this is a clear and distinct written definition of a want (nice to have or luxury item) and need (must have this to function daily).
Principle 2. Cut up those darn credit cards. Quite frankly I do not even think they could get credit or credit cards, you can but do not. If you need to have an emergency credit card, fine but have strict usage rules associated with it. Simple thought, if you think it is a need, but has to be purchased with a credit card, it must not e qualify and you might have screwed up somewhere else to have a need purchased with a credit card!
Principle 3. Limit you luxury items to the bare minimum This is by far the most difficult principle to get people o grasp, why because they think a lot of luxury items are Needs, hah. My favorite is the latest in electronic equipment or that 50 inch big screen TV to watch sports on.
Principle 4. Save as much as you can out of every paycheck. You have heard this over and over again, nothing new but you must initiate the action to garnish your wages.
Principle 5. Set financial and personal goals. Without financial and personal goals you will never know where you are going or if you are ever going to get there.
Finally, you are going to need medical services, plan on this as part of you needs and appropriate the amount you will need. I can not tell you a $ amount or percent, everyone must do this based on family history and life style. My advice to you, do not count on the government to continue with social services take charge of your own destiny. Be responsible, start today and success will follow, we truly can learn from the past.
